Solas Project Passionate about making a positive change in society for young people and children in Dublin, Ireland
Solas Project is a charity in Dublin Ireland with a vision to see an Ireland where all children and young people truly know their self-worth and can take full advantage of their potential. One of our Early intervention initiatives is an After Schools Club where we provide a purposeful activity in a secure environment in an attempt to meet the physical, emotional and intellectual needs of the children who would be at risk of early school leaving due to social and educational disadvantage. We cater for 35+ children (aged 5 – 10 years) in two locations in south west inner city of Dublin. The After Schools Club strives to be a home away from home environment. We sit around a table to have a meal, help children with homework, and provide intentional and group centred activities. Your role will be to facilitate this programme, to build relationships with children, work as a team, organise games and activities, prepare and serve healthy food to children.
