Do you want to gain meaningful experience in aquaculture while supporting research needed to conserve Caribbean coral reefs? Join us at the Saba Research Center (SRC) on beautiful Saba in The Dutch Caribbean. This internship offers a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in a dynamic laboratory environment and learn all the practical skills needed to support research focused on restoring the health of coral reefs through the study of important marine grazers like the West Indian top shell, black sea urchin, Caribbean King crab and West Indian sea egg. Duties include: - Assisting with the care and maintenance of marine animals and algae. - Conducting regular monitoring and maintenance of water systems to ensure optimal conditions for aquatic life. - Preparing equipment, materials and animals for experiments and field work. - Provide assistance with various ongoing projects both in the field and the lab. - Participating in team meetings and contribute to project discussions.
