Sanctuary Care A Day in the Life of a Student on Work Experience at Sanctuary Care
As a student on work experience at Sanctuary Care, you'll gain hands-on experience in the adult social care sector. Your day will start by shadowing the care team, assisting with morning routines and breakfast service, learning about nutrition and personal care. Mid-morning, you'll join the activities team, helping to organize engaging sessions for residents, promoting their well-being. In the afternoon, you'll observe the nursing staff, learning about medication administration and health monitoring, and spend time with the admin team to understand the operational side of the care home. You'll finish the day by assisting with afternoon tea and reflecting on your experiences. This work experience offers you the chance to learn comprehensive care, teamwork, communication skills, and practical tasks, providing a well-rounded introduction to a career in adult social care.
